- Using the Mpesa app, Safaricom app, or sim toolkit, head to your Mpesa Menu
- Select the option Lipa Na Mpesa
- There are two options. Select pay bill
- For the pay bill or business number, enter 222111
- For the account number, enter your 12 digit Family bank account number or of the person you are depositing the money to
- Enter the amount of money you want to transfer to your Family bank account
- Enter your Mpesa PIN
- Check all the details: the pay bill number, the account number, and the amount you want to send before pressing the OK button.
- Once confirmed, you can press OK
- You will get a verification message asking you to verify the details you have entered. If you wrongly entered some details, you have the option of pressing 1 within one minute to cancel the transaction. If okay, ignore the message
- You will get a confirmation message from Mpesa of your transaction
- You will get a transaction message from Family Bank
- If you were depositing money to another account other than yours, the person will get a confirmation from Mpesa.
