The Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) collaborated with Safaricom Mpesa to allow its users to access their funds at lower rates. This makes it easy for one to deposit money from Mpesa to KCB account. For one to access the services, you should be a registered member of both KCB and Safaricom.
You need to open an M-Benki account to use the mobile banking services. How do you open the KCB M-Benki account
- Go to your Mpesa menu
- Use the pay bill option with till number 522522
- For the account number, enter “ID” then add your ID number
- Enter the amount of money you want to deposit
- Enter your Mpesa pin
- You will receive a short message which will contain your user ID, PIN, and your M-Benki account number
Now that you have the M-Benki account, you can transfer or deposit money from your KCB account. How do you go about depositing money from your Mpesa account to your KCB account? You first need to make sure you have the amount of money you want to deposit to your KCB account in your Mpesa. You also need to be a registered KCB Mobi Bank user. You should download the KCB Mobi Bank and fill it. Once done, submit the form to the nearest KCB bank branch or at a KCB Mtaani agent.

- Go to your Mpesa: either through your Mpesa app or your sim toolkit
- Select Lipa Na Mpesa
- Choose the Pay bill option
- You should put a pay bill number next. Enter 522522 (this is KCB Bank pay bill number)
- For the account number, enter your KCB account number or that of the person you want to deposit the money to
- Enter the amount of money you are sending
- Next, enter your PIN
- Before pressing send, make sure all the details you have entered are correct
- Once sent, you should wait for the Mpesa transaction and confirmation SMS
