In the past, Kenyans didn’t know how to deposit money to PayPal from MPESA.
However, it is possible to top up your PayPal account with MPESA through the pay bill number 800088.
You only need to have an active PayPal account and link it with your MPESA number.
The following steps should be taken when depositing money from MPESA to PayPal:
1. Login to your PayPal Mobile Money
2. Click on top up to PayPal
3. Calculate the amount in KES you need to convert into USD amount that you need in your PayPal account.
4. Open your M-PESA,
5. Select "Lipa na M-PESA", then "Pay Bill".
6. Enter 800088 as the business number, and your phone number as the account number.
7. Put your secret PIN and click send.
You will then receive an SMS confirming that xx USD was added to your PayPal balance. One can also check the transaction on the Transaction History page.
