Gotv is a digital TV service in Kenya operated by Multichoice. It was launched in 2011 and provides a variety of entertainment choices channels. One can watch movies, cartoons, music, and even sports from Gotv. To access the Gotv services, you need to have a Gotv decoder that will cost you Ksh. 1,299 and a Gotenna that costs Ksh. 849. Gotv has five packages you can choose from depending on the amount you want to pay once you have the decoder and antenna. You can easily pay Gotv through Mpesa using their Gotv pay bill number.
- Gotv Lite: you will pay Ksh. 265 per month for this service and will be allowed to watch 1 music channel. 1 sports channel and 22 other genre channels. It is the cheapest of all the packages
- Gotv Value: for this, you pay Ksh. 550 per month and get 2 music channels, 2 sports channels, 1 movie channel, and 31 other genre channels
- Gotv Plus: you get to watch 3 music channels, 4 sports channels, 3 movie channels, and 40 other genre channels. It costs you Ksh. 870 per month
- Gotv Max: for Ksh. 1150 per month, you get to enjoy 4 music channels, 6 sports channels, 4 movie channels, and 47 other genre channels.
- Gotv Supa: this package costs Ksh. 1499 per month and you will watch 4 music channels, 6 sports channels, 6 movie channels, and 55 other genre channels
Once you have selected your preferred package, you will need to pay for it to access the services. You can make Pay Gotv via Mpesa. How do you do this?
- Go to the Mpesa App, Safaricom App, or your sim toolkit
- On the Mpesa menu, select Lipa na Mpesa
- Choose the Pay Bill option
- The official Gotv Pay Bill number is 423655. Enter it on the Pay Bill option
- For the account number, enter the IUC number. You will get the number at the bottom of your decoder with a red sticker.
- Put the subscription amount
- Confirm the details that are the pay bill number, account number, and the amount you want to pay
- Enter your Mpesa PIN and press OK
You will receive a confirmation message from Safaricom if the transaction has been successful.
